"Pillow Window"
Latex on old painted wood siding
15' X 10' wall
ca. 1986
In Europe (and in our Aspen home growing up), feather beds were hung out the windows daily to air. That was the idea behind this, my first trompe l'oeil painting in West Hollywood, as an entertaining detail on an old neglected garage wall.
This wall was actually Ray's neighbor's wall, but it defined the west boundary of the back yard. What once was ugly, suddenly became fun.
