"Garden of the Scarlet Macaw"
Latex on old painted wood siding
15' X 10' wall
ca. 1986
When I first arrived in Los Angeles, my old school friend, Ray Underwood, let me stay with him until I got settled.
In gratitude, I painted 2 small murals on the garage walls (his and his neighbor's facing him) in his back yard. One was the Pillow Window and the other was this, The Garden of the Scarlet Macaw.
Later, Ray let me rennovate this garage to become my first studio in West Hollywood.
