I love sculpting.
Sculpture for me is something visceral which seems to come channeled through my hands from another world. It is very exciting and requires an astute ability to "listen". When the drummer stops playing, I must stop working or pay the consequences. When the music begins, I must drop whatever I am doing and start to dance.
My bronze sculptures begin as wood and wire frames which I cover with clay and/or wax. It is thrilling every time to see soft maleable wax or clay become solid enduring metal with every spec of dust immortalized when the foundry casts it well.
